Week 10 of the LS 2020 V-League 1 season gets under way tomorrow and as well as City's trip to Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh there are some other interesting games.  The weekend kicks off with 6th placed Hoàng Anh Gia Lai hosting bottom club Quảng Nam in the 5 o'clock game.  Both teams need the points for very differing reasons.  The hosts to cement a top 8 place and the visitors to drag themselves off the foot of the table.  Kicking off at 19:15 tomorrow is probably the weekend's top game and one that could produce fireworks (quite literally).  Reigning champions Hà Nội FC host Hải Phòng is a 'no-love lost' game.  Memories of last season's encounter which was delayed due to fireworks being fired at the pitch and the stand opposite by followers of Hải Phòng are still very fresh in the minds and has resulted in extra policing being deployed at the SVĐ Hàng Đẫy.  Hà Nội FC need the points as they sit in 8th place and occupy the last of the top 8 slots.  Hải Phòng, although in 12th place are only three points behind their opponents and could quite easily put a run together to trouble those above them.  Saturday sees current 3rd placed Viettel FC travel to Sông Lam Nghệ An who currently sit in 9th place and just outside the top 8 cut off positions on goal difference.  7th placed SHB Đà Nẵng host 5th placed Than Quảng Ninh in a top 8 clash whilst league leaders Sài Gòn FC will be looking to maintain both their unbeaten start and top spot when they host 11th placed Nam Định.  The other game sees B. Bình Dương (4th) host Thanh Hóa (10th).

City firmly put the disappointment of the previous game behind them as they secured a fantastic 3-0 away victory over 4th placed Than Quảng Ninh.  First half goals from Nguyễn Công Phượng and Amido Baldé plus an early headed goal from Ngô Viết Phú in the second period did the damage.  The result sees City regain top spot from 'city' rivals Sài Gòn FC who take on Thanh Hóa on Sunday night.
