Brief History

Founded in 1997 with the separation of Quảng Nam and Đà Nẵng Provinces the club was formally known as QNK Quảng Nam.

 

2008 Quảng Nam won the Second League Championship and were promoted to the First League (later to become V-League 2 in 2012).

 

26th December 2011 the club formally changed its name to QNK Quảng Nam after receiving sponsorship from QNK Investment Joint Stock Company. 

2013 Quảng Nam won promotion to V League 1after winning the V League 2 Championship.

29th December 2016 the club changed its name to Quảng Nam FC. 

 

2017 Quảng Nam FC won their first V-League 1 Title beating Ho Chi Minh City 3-1 in the final game of the season at the SVĐ Tam Kỳ. 

 

2018 The club were unable to take their place in the 2018 AFC Champions League due to it failing to meet the eligibility criteria regarding youth teams.

2018 Quảng Nam FC won their first Super Cup Title by defeating Sông Lam Nghệ An 1-0 .

2019 The club is defeated 1-2 by parent company Hà Nội FC in the National Cup Final but qualifies for the 2020 AFC Cup due to  Hà Nội's failure to meet the eligibility criteria regarding youth teams.

How to Get To The SVĐ Tam Kỳ

The distance between HCM and Tam Kỳ is 893 km making the journey a very long one in terms of road transport.

Travel Options 

Plane - All the major airlines fly to Chu Lai International Airport situated some 39 km outside of Tam Kỳ city centre with the journey time approximately 45 - 50 minutes.  There are direct buses from the airport to the city centre which can be found outside of the arrivals hall.  The flying time to Chu Lai Airport is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.  Flight prices will vary between airlines and when you book.  

Train - There are five direct trains that you can take from HCM to Tam Kỳ.  Trains leave from Sài Gòn Railway Station which is located in District 3 and arrive at Thanh Hóa Station which is in An Xuân Ward.The journey takes approximately 15-17 hours depending on the train.  Ticket prices vary depending on train and accommodation option but expect to pay at least đ500,000 for a one-way ticket.

Bus - The bus journey will take approximately 16 hours.  One company that runs scheduled buses between HCM and Tam Kỳ is Huong Ty.  The bus departs Miền Đông Bus Station in Bình Thạnh District, HCM and arrives at the Train Station in An Xuân Ward.  Cost wise expect to pay approximately đ350,000 each way.  Tickets for the bus service can usually be purchased from the following site using this link
